Your Trusted Source for How to Thrive with Diabetes

OnTrackDiabetes and the OnTrackDiabetes app, properties of Remedy Health Media, support people living with every type of diabetes—type 1, type 2, prediabetes, and gestational diabetes—as well as their families and caregivers.

Both the site and the app have practical, up-to-date, medically-reviewed articles, expert tips, inspirational patient stories, informative podcasts and webinars covering blood glucose management, related conditions information, plus weight loss, diet, mental health and medication information. There are also over 1,500 blood-sugar friendly recipes as well as exercise slideshows and videos to help you thrive with diabetes.

The OnTrack Diabetes site grew out of two sites known previously as DiabeticLifestyle and Diabetic-Recipes, which covered diabetes basics for anyone living with diabetes and all the challenges that accompany managing a chronic condition that never goes on vacation. Frances Towner Giedt and Bonnie Sanders Polin, PhD, the founders, both lived with diabetes and were inspired primarily by creating blood-sugar friendly and nutritious food. The duo wrote the Joslin Diabetes Gourmet Cookbook, the only diabetes cookbook ever to win the highly-coveted James Beard Cookbook Award. Their cookbook was also nominated for the renowned Julia Child Cookbook Award. The digital recipe library on OnTrackDiabetes that grew out of Diabetic-Recipes is continually added to and remains one of the most popular areas on the site.

Diabetes is a serious condition requiring professional medical attention. The information and recipes on this site, although as accurate and timely as feasibly possible is not medical advice, nor a substitute for it. All recipes and menus are provided with the implied understanding that directions for exchange sizes will be strictly adhered to, and that blood glucose levels can be affected by not following individualized dietary guidelines as directed by your physician and/or healthcare team.
