Deliberate: adjective diˈlibərit/
1.done consciously and intentionally.
We are designed to have diabetes. We are not a scientific, genetic accident. We are wonderfully made and have been given the opportunity to shine and feel saturated by peace. Diabetes doesn't have to take away peace, but it can with our consent. We have the ability to choose peace or self-pity. Diabetes makes it a lot easier to choose self-pity, but diabetes also makes it a lot more vivid when we choose peace. Choosing peace is what keeps my a1c down. Choosing peace is what makes me check my blood sugar 10-15 times a day. Choosing peace is what gives me hope & excitement for my future, in this life and the next. Peace is knowing that I am on this earth to love Jesus and love others. Nothing more, nothing less. Diabetes cannot touch that truth. Diabetes cannot take away my ability to love, to serve, to laugh, to smile. Diabetes is so limited compared to Jesus. Each of us has diabetes for a reason; we were deliberately made wonderfully and fearfully in the image of God. God has a plan, let Him shine through you and your diabetes.
"The Lord gives strength to His people; the Lord blessed His people with peace." Psalm 29:11
"I praise You because I am fearfully and wonderfully made; Your works are wonderful, I know that full well." Psalm 139:14
