About Diane Norwood, MS, RD, CDE

Diane Norwood, MS, RD, CDE, is a nutrition communications and diabetes expert who operates a consulting (content and recipe development) business in Virginia Beach, VA. She has contributed articles to many organizations, including School Foodservice & Nutrition magazine, Tufts University Health & Nutrition Letter, HealthGate Data Corp, EBSCO Publishing, the Society of Cardiovascular Angiography and Intervention, Next Generation Military Spouse, and Dinner Deployed

She created the blog The Wandering RD as a result of her passion for teaching people how to eat easy, real food to prevent diabetes and its complications. Her recipes and expert tips have been featured in many blogs and online publications including Reader’s Digest, Everyday Health, Yummly and Noom. 

Diane has a B.S. in Dietetics from James Madison University, completed her Dietetic Internship at the University of Virginia Health System, and earned a Master’s in Nutrition Communication from Tufts University.

As a military spouse, she enjoys wandering the world with her Navy Pediatrician husband and their three daughters, each born in a different country (USA, Japan, and Italy).
