About Cynthia Zuber

Cynthia Zuber was diagnosed with Type 1 diabetes as a child and has lived with diabetes for nearly three decades. She also has several more chronic conditions including Hashimoto's Thyroiditis and multiple food sensitivities.

Attempting to navigate her challenging health while living the best life possible, Cynthia turned to integrative medicine. Following an integrative approach that combines the best of conventional medicine (insulin, thyroid meds) and holistic modalities has been life-changing and helps her experiences greater health in body, mind and spirit.

Wanting to share about her positive experiences and wisdom gleaned, Cynthia started a personal blog, Diabetes Light: My holistic journey to health in December, 2011. She encourages you to join her Facebook blog community where she shares daily the tidbits of her life -- inspiration, pictures, stories, meals she created, recipes, etc. Her writing is unique in that it is deep and reflective, not shying away from some of the difficult realities that can be present in a life with multiple chronic health conditions.

Cynthia is a trusted blogger for DiabeticLIfestyle at  Finding Peace Between the Pokes where she blogs openly about her journey to inspire others and help them feel less alone. In her spare time, she loves spending time with her husband, cats and dog, reading, healthy cooking and baking, yoga, walks, cycling, theater, time in nature and plenty of restful solitude. She loves laughing and finding something to be joyful and grateful for every day.
