It may also have the added benefit of helping individuals lose weight, which is a separate important goal for those dealing with type 2 diabetes.

Meditation is another useful method diabetics may be able to use to get their minds off of their health problems. The practice helps individuals to focus their attention on the present. This eliminates worries about the future and stops people from dwelling on past disappointments.

Type 2 diabetes can be difficult enough to manage without making things harder by introducing stress-related problems into the situation. Taking steps to avoid worries may play an important role in controlling the disease.
