Tuna "Burger"

Servings: 2

Ingredients

  • 10 oz ahi tuna, divided into 2 portions
  • 1 tbsp olive oil
  • 2 whole wheat hamburger buns, toasted
  • 2 tbsp pesto
  • 1 tomato, sliced
  • ¼ red onion, thinly sliced
  • 2 cups lettuce
  • salt and pepper

Directions

  1. Coat the tuna with the olive oil and season with salt and pepper.
  2. Grill on high heat for 2 minutes for each side, until the outside is lightly charred but the interior is still pink.
  3. Slather the buns with the pesto, then add lettuce, tomato, and onion.  Serve.
